Privacy notice

1. Data controller

2. What data we process

• Data you send us through the contact or quote form: name, company, email, phone, type of request, category or machine of interest, your message and the language of the site.
• Technical data needed to run and protect the site: IP address, date and time of the request, page visited, browser type. The IP address is also used to limit automated bulk messages.

We use no profiling, advertising or third-party analytics tools. We do not ask for special categories of data: please do not include any in your message.

3. Why we process it and on what legal basis

• To answer your request (information, quotes, availability, transport, valuations) and, if you wish, to start a negotiation: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To manage any business relationship that follows: performance of the contract and legal obligations, including tax (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c)).
• Site security and abuse prevention (spam, automated submissions): our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Providing the form data is optional, but without a name, a contact and a message we cannot reply to you.

4. How we process it and who sees it

Requests reach our customer management system (CRM) and, by email, the sales staff in charge. Data is processed electronically with appropriate security measures (personal logins, encrypted connections, passwords stored encrypted). Hosting, email and IT support providers may process it on our behalf as processors. We do not sell or give your data to third parties for marketing.

Where needed to handle your request (for example transport or a sale to a country outside the EU), the strictly necessary data may be shared with the carriers, inspectors or sellers involved, including outside the European Union, only within the limits of Articles 44–49 GDPR.

5. How long we keep it

• Requests without a business follow-up: up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
• Data linked to a contract: for the duration of the relationship and then for the period required by civil and tax law (usually 10 years).
• Messages recognised as spam: deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Technical browsing data: only as long as strictly needed for the security of the service.

6. Your rights

You can at any time ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by writing to info@mapfortrading.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of your country.

The site uses one technical cookie only: see the cookie policy. Links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and WhatsApp lead to third-party services with their own privacy notices.
